This is the finished article of a kitchen we recently renovated from top to bottom, this job stood out and was one of our favorites in a while with the sleek modern finish bereft of any heavy overkill designs or OTT unit installations, The final decisions regarding the units and bi-folding doors was left to last minute and the same with the plumbing and electric finishes. The client had a white ceiling painted in this kitchen, much like all contemporary modern kitchen ceilings 🙂 but pondered the bezel finish on the IP65 GU10 downlights until the very end.
I have always been of the opinion that you finish the downlights in white so that when the lights are not switched on (which is the majority of the time right!?) then the ceiling blends in more and the finish on the downlight plays an additional role, this new role is a camouflaged one that makes it always seem that there is just a plain white clinical ceiling up above.
The JCC GU10 fire-rated downlights we opted for in the end actually were supplied with 4 different bezel finishes!
